BASIC SIGN LANGUAGE
This 20-hour class is an introduction to the basic skills in the production and comprehension of American Sign Language. It is structured on the assumption that students are coming into the class with little to no experience. This course will cover basic concepts of sign language, manual alphabet, numbers, and culturally appropriate behaviors. The student will also be exposed to basic functional communication skills with individuals who are deaf.
